WHY US

FAQs

What to know before the class?

Important details to know before booking the golf lessons.
Are golf lessons worth it?

Absolutely. Golf lessons with our PGA professionals provide tailored guidance that helps you improve faster and with more confidence than learning alone. Whether you want to fine-tune your swing, fix specific faults, or start from scratch, our structured approach ensures measurable progress.

What should I know about golf before starting lessons?

Nothing at all! Many of our students are complete beginners. If you’ve never picked up a club, we’ll guide you step by step. If you already play, we’ll build on your existing knowledge and focus on the areas that will make the biggest difference to your game.

What makes James Andrews Golf School different from other golf academies?

We pride ourselves on combining world-class coaching with a personalised, enjoyable experience. Unlike many academies, we keep groups small, offer year-round tuition holidays, and use cutting-edge technology like TrackMan to give you clear, actionable feedback. Our goal is simple: to help every golfer improve while having fun.

Can beginners and seasoned golfers both benefit from your golf school?

Yes! Our coaching is designed to help all abilities. Beginners learn correct fundamentals from day one, while experienced players benefit from advanced technical, tactical, and mental game training. Whatever your handicap, we’ll help you progress.

Do you offer golf tuition holidays?

Yes – we specialise in them! Our Golf Tuition Holidays combine daily professional coaching with hand-picked resort destinations across Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Cyprus, and more. It’s the perfect blend of improving your golf, enjoying the sun, and socialising with like-minded golfers.

How quickly can I improve through your golf training programmes?

Improvement varies for each golfer, but most students notice positive changes immediately, even after a singlesession. With consistent coaching and practice, many reduce their handicap significantly or achieve their golfing goals within a season.

Is James Andrews Golf School an accredited golf academy?

Yes. Our golf school is run by James Andrews, a fully qualified PGA Professional, with a team of accredited instructors. We maintain the highest coaching standards, blending professional expertise with modern golf science.

What facilities are included in your golf tuition packages?

Our golf schools are hosted at luxury resorts with full golf and leisure facilities. Expect:

2 x 18 Hole Championship-standard golf courses

Modern practice ranges & short-game areas

Swimming pools, gyms & spas

Comfortable 80 Bedroom 4–5 star hotel accommodation

Fine dining & leisure options

This ensures a complete holiday and learning experience.

Do you use Trackman and other modern golf technology during lessons?

Yes. We use TrackMan radar technology, video swing analysis, and other modern tools to give you accurate, instant feedback. This allows us to diagnose issues precisely and help you improve efficiently. We also use modern training aids and Visio putting technology.

How do I book golf lessons online?

Booking is quick and easy! Simply visit our website at www.jamesandrewsgolfschool.co.uk, choose your preferred package or holiday, and follow the booking instructions. You can also contact our friendly team directly by phone or email for personalised assistance.

I’ve never played golf before – can I still join?

Absolutely! Many of our students are complete beginners. Our PGA Professionals will guide you step by step, starting with the basics of grip, stance, and swing. No prior experience is required.

Do I need to bring my own clubs?

Not at all. We provide all the equipment you’ll need for your lessons. As you progress, we can also advise on choosing the right clubs when you’re ready to invest in your own set.

What will I learn at the golf school?

We’ll introduce you to the fundamentals, including:

Holding the club correctly

Basic swing techniques

Understanding how the ball moves

Simple short-game skills like putting and chipping

Bunkers and difficult lies

All the different clubs and how to use them

An introduction to the golf course

Everything is taught in a relaxed, enjoyable environment.

How quickly will I start to improve?

Immediately – but consistency needs practice. So you will leave with the knowledge of what to practice even hitting the ball cleanly for the first time feels like a huge achievement. With consistent coaching, many of our beginners are confidently playing on a golf course within weeks.

What should I wear for my lessons?

Comfortable, casual clothing is perfect. Trainers or soft-soled shoes work well if you don’t yet own golf shoes. As you develop, you might want to invest in golf-specific clothing, but it’s not essential to start.

Will I be in a group or one-to-one?

You can choose! We offer both private one-to-one coaching and friendly group sessions. Many beginners enjoy the social aspect of group lessons, while one-to-one lessons provide highly personalised attention.

Do you run beginners’ golf holidays too?

Yes! Our Golf Tuition Holidays are perfect for beginners. You’ll enjoy expert coaching in a beautiful resort, with plenty of time to relax and soak up the holiday atmosphere. It’s a fun and supportive way to learn.

Is golf difficult to learn?

Golf has a reputation for being tricky, but with the right guidance, it’s an enjoyable journey. We break the game down into simple, easy-to-follow steps so you’ll never feel overwhelmed.

What if I feel nervous about starting?

That’s completely normal! Many of our beginners felt the same at first. Our coaches create a friendly, supportive, and pressure-free environment so you can learn at your own pace and celebrate every little win.

How do I book my first beginner lesson?

It’s easy – simply visit www.jagolfholidays.com or contact us by phone or email. Our team will help you choose the best lesson package to get started.
